Rare-Essence is a go-go band based in Washington D.C. One of their more legendary song cuts is ‘The Overnight Scenario’. The marketing around this event payed homage to that song, along with go-go culture of the past, specifically with the flyer design and color way.
Go-go posters were a huge way for event planners to communicate with city residents. This poster, particularly its color way, type, and style of communicating information served as inspiration for the event flyer.
These images were released daily as a buildup until the reveal of the flyer. These images were ultimately made into a promotional video which can be seen below.
Each time was given a unique image design that reflected its part within the song. Those were then compiled into a promotional video
